CUT to YOU | So Berry Sweet

Hello scrappy friends and welcome to my blog again today! I am sharing this sweet page with you using SIX photos, 2 fun cut files and, of course, mixed media fun for CUT to YOU!

When I chose these photos to work with I went back through my rather extensive (I am so lucky!!) CUT to YOU library and found this little gem “So Berry Sweet” from March this year which has the title and the strawberry.

As I was designing my page I decided that I wanted a fun way of being able to add a third pop of red. Off on the hunt again and I chose the Scallop Banners from April this year. I have done a little editing in my Silhouette software to get the scallops proportioned to the size I wanted. This was a fairly easy process of getting one to the “right” size, copying, pasting and then welding.

I’ve used papers from my scraps box to back the strawberries and the scallops and then some Tutu Pink Bazzil cardstock to back my title lettering.

For a fun element I used mixed media and the internal pieces from the cut file to create a stencil for the seeds on the strawberries and I really love it!

Of course, mixed media in my background and I chose soft pinks. I love the combo of pink and red together!

I didn’t go too crazy with embellishing but I did pull out of my Shimelle “Box of Crayons” collection for all of the strawberry stickers, ephemera, glitter shaker sticker and also a journalling piece.

Oh and that little gecko!!! Isn’t he just the sweetest?!?? And he is just the right colours to work on this page. All the heart eyes for this little guy!!

You can see my process video below, grab a cuppa, and I hope you enjoy!

This page was so fun to put together and I love that I have so many photos and that I have been able to use all of those cut files too!! Here are a few close ups for you to enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon with another share!
Melinda
