Scrap the Boys | October 2020 | Boo!

Hey and hello my scrappy friends!! Welcome to my blog today for my first share for October!

This page was created for the Scrap The Boys October 2020 “Halloween” challenge and I had SO MUCH FUN creating this one!

I was inspired to use 2 cut files from CUT to YOU and that was my starting point for this one! I’ve used the Halloween 2 cut file – brand new last month.

And the Halloween 1 cut file from last year!

I’ve used lots of mixed media on this page including on all of my cut files which were cut on white cardstock. But you can see what I’ve used and how I used them on my process video linked below!

Like I said, this was a super fun layout to create – I really do love getting messy – and I hope that this inspires you to play along with us this month! You can join the challenge 2 ways – here on the blog, or here in the FB group!

Make sure you pop by one at least one of the STB social links to check out all of the A-MAZING DT inspiration for this month!

Anna’s Craft Cupboard | Slow Days and Long Walks | Pink Fresh Studio – Let’s Stay Home

Hi there and welcome for one last share of mine using the Pink Fresh Studio’s “Let’s Stay Home” collection, “Slow Days and Long Walk” for Anna’s Craft Cupboard.

One of my other favourite patterns in this collection is the gorgeous diagonal stripe on “Around Our Hood” which I may have been hoarding!! Because I love it so much I didn’t want to cover it all up and decided on a clean design!

The first thing I did was to set aside all of the “stay home” and “walking” pieces; using a variety of stickers, ephemera and chipboard flair. Because I wasn’t sure exactly which pieces I would end up using on my design this was a good place to start.

Have you noticed that I have been using Annabelle acrylics on all of my pages this month?? There was no way I couldn’t include one on today’s layout and the “time together” worked perfectly! With my photo chosen, my title and my sub-title chosen I was now ready to start sticking! I built my title using an ephemera piece and again, the mini puffy alphas.

I matted my photo with 2 patterns from the 6×6 paper pad and tucked in some torn pink card stock. As I mentioned above, I LOVE this pattern paper and as I added embellishments I kept them grouped closely together.

I really love the flow of my page and how everything is cascading from the top left to the bottom right; giving your eye a very clear line to follow. This came about as I just wanted to keep adding MORE of the fun pieces along that diagonal line. The way all of my pieces tuck in together and layer just makes my heart happy!

I wrote in a couple of sentences about the photo and my story. Lastly, I added in some enamel dots in 3 places and a sprinkling of grey ink using Distress Oxide in Hickory Smoke.

Well, that wraps up my shares using Pink Fresh Studio’s “Let’s Stay Home” collection. I really love that I have been able to use this collection for a variety of stories and “styles.” And one final process video for you!

I hope that you have enjoyed my shares and I look forward to sharing more inspiration in the near future! Until next time take care, stay safe and happy scrapping!

Anna’s Craft Cupboard | Love You | Pink Fresh Studio – Let’s Stay Home

Hello once again! I’m with you today with another Pink Fresh Studio Let’s Stay Home collection share for Anna’s Craft Cupboard. This one features another Annabelle acrylic title and is titled “Love You.”

I used the “Best Place To Be” pattern paper for my background.  I also wanted to go with a central design without lots of mess for this one! Different for me but just where I felt like going for these photos!

Working with my idea of a central design I grabbed 2 of the same pattern papers from the 6×6 paper pad. These were stuck to the centre of the page. I sneakily conserved some of the paper from behind the photos! Keeping to the central design I used another 6×6 pattern paper to mat my 2 x 3″x 4″ photos. This way that layer could evenly overlap the edges on both sides of the vertical column of paper.

In order for my photos to really pop I  added 2 more layers of pattern paper behind my photos making use of the last scrap I had of the “Kind Hearts” 12×12 paper. The other layer is from the 6×6 paper pad. I have adhered the 2 pieces together to get a big enough piece to span over the vertical column.

Since I love that yellow so much I wanted to add in more as I really felt it makes the rest of the elements and the photos pop! I started by inking the edges of the biggest layer behind my photo. Then I used an edge punch with the yellow paper from the 6×6 paper pad to add a border to either side of the vertical column.

Time to add some finishing touches! Starting with some ephemera pieces, stickers, a fabric bow and a piece from the 6×6 cut apart sheet. Next, a sub title using the mini puffy alphas, some enamel dots and white Annabelle acrylic butterflies and my page is done!

I, of course, also have a process video for you all and I do hope that you enjoy!

I really, truly am loving working with this collection!! Make sure you head back for my next and final share with Pink Fresh Studio’s “Let’s Stay Home” collection!

You can see my whole process in my process video below, just hit that play button, sit back and enjoy!

And a super quick run down of what I’ve done and the products I used! So, I am playing with the Paige Evans “Bloom Street” collection for this one and could not resist that pattern paper for my background! *insert all the heart eyes*

I’ve added mixed media to my leaf cut files and then backed them with vellum. Note – this was a very dainty and somewhat time consuming task but I really love the subtle element it adds!

I have backed my title with a paper from the 6×8 paper pad. I used my Cameo software to cut the pattern paper to fit perfectly behind my cut file!

CUT to YOU | So Berry Sweet

Hello scrappy friends and welcome to my blog again today! I am sharing this sweet page with you using SIX photos, 2 fun cut files and, of course, mixed media fun for CUT to YOU!

When I chose these photos to work with I went back through my rather extensive (I am so lucky!!) CUT to YOU library and found this little gem “So Berry Sweet” from March this year which has the title and the strawberry.

As I was designing my page I decided that I wanted a fun way of being able to add a third pop of red. Off on the hunt again and I chose the Scallop Banners from April this year. I have done a little editing in my Silhouette software to get the scallops proportioned to the size I wanted. This was a fairly easy process of getting one to the “right” size, copying, pasting and then welding.

I’ve used papers from my scraps box to back the strawberries and the scallops and then some Tutu Pink Bazzil cardstock to back my title lettering.

For a fun element I used mixed media and the internal pieces from the cut file to create a stencil for the seeds on the strawberries and I really love it!

Of course, mixed media in my background and I chose soft pinks. I love the combo of pink and red together!

I didn’t go too crazy with embellishing but I did pull out of my Shimelle “Box of Crayons” collection for all of the strawberry stickers, ephemera, glitter shaker sticker and also a journalling piece.

Oh and that little gecko!!! Isn’t he just the sweetest?!?? And he is just the right colours to work on this page. All the heart eyes for this little guy!!

You can see my process video below, grab a cuppa, and I hope you enjoy!

This page was so fun to put together and I love that I have so many photos and that I have been able to use all of those cut files too!! Here are a few close ups for you to enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon with another share!

Anna’s Craft Cupboard | Lovin’ This Life | Pink Fresh Studio – Let’s Stay Home

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog again today! I’m sharing my second scrapbook layout using the Pink Fresh “Let’s Stay Home” collection, “Lovin’ This Life.”

This AnnabelleLovin’ This Life” title was perfect for this photo. My photo is printed at 6×8 it fits perfectly right on top! I love the way this looks!

Immediately when I saw the “Kind Hearts” paper I knew that I wanted to use that for a background! And then I saw the rainbow on the “Hope for a New Day” paper and simply HAD to cut that out! Voila, my background design sorted!

I’ve added some machine stitching to each of the rainbow arches in matching thread colours. Then, also inked the edges with matching Distress Oxide Inks in the following colours; Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Seedless Preserves, Hickory Smoke, Abandoned Coral and Spun Sugar.

I wanted to add in a couple of layers behind my photo and found 2 coloured cardstocks to match. The yellow in this collection is just gorgeous and REALLY made my photo pop!! After I added that yellow behind my photo I wanted MORE!! I didn’t have the right shade so I used a stamp pad and added ink to a white cardstock piece using a blending brush! This was going to create a border around the entire background.

Oh my, I was so loving how this was looking but wanted to add a few more fun touches! But not too many to cover up that fun background! lol
I used a tag from the Journalling Tags in this collection, tucked behind my photo and also added in some stickers and die cuts from the card stock stickers and ephemera packs. A small cluster to the top right of the photo and then an even smaller one to bottom left.

At this point I didn’t want to cover more of the background so I grabbed the puffy alphas and spelled out “Esperance”. A few enamel dots sprinkled and that completed my page!

I am totally loving working this collection and super excited to share my next creation with you so make sure you head back! Until then, I hope you enjoy the process video below!

Happy scrapping and make sure you check back soon for my next share!

Anna’s Craft Cupboard | The Best | Pink Fresh Studio – Let’s Stay Home

Hey everyone and I am so happy to be sharing my first layout using the Pink Fresh Studio Let’s Stay Home collection, “The Best” for Anna’s Craft Cupboards!

For this layout I wanted to create a messy back ground so started with some white gesso. The next layer was some black stamping using a Tim Holtz stamp with permanant ink. Then some texture with this stencil and some Nuvo Mousse; which I then watered down and painted on, for colour! My final layer before photos was some splatters in both black and white.

I had already picked out the Annabelle “The Best” title and these photos so started layering those up with some papers from the 6×6 paper pad. Everything was looking a little monochromatic and flat so I chose 2 other colours to focus on – yellow and pink. The yellow in this collection is simply gorgeous!!

In order for the photos to pop and the page to look more “finished” I added in 2 small clusters. I’ve pulled in some stickers from the cardstock stickers, puffy stickers and also the chipboard flair.

How absolutely adorable are those fabric bows?!?? I simply HAD to have them in life and this one was in the perfect colours for this page!

Unusually for me, I don’t have a tonne to say about these photos – one word totally sums up the idea of “The Best” which is pockets!! I added that to one of the label stickers using the rainbow puffy alphas stickers – love, love, love!

Next I tore 2 small sections from the background. After roughing up the edges I stuck some of the same blue paper from the photo layers behind. Finally I added in some splatters in yellow and pink and my page is done!

This collection is just gorgeous! Make sure you head over to the store to grab any of the remaining pieces!! Of course, I have a process video for you too! Enjoy!

I’ll be back again really soon with my next share!
Happy scrapping!

Hey and hello and a big welcome to you today, the official first day of Spring here in Australia, woohoo!! Today’s share is my creation for the Mixed Media Scrap The Boys, September 2020 challenge. Right up my alley!!

And here is my creation. I have used a tonne of mixed media and a couple of different mixed media techniques for this page and I really, really love how it turned out!

My title piece is from the Annabelle by Anna’s Craft Cupboard acrylics collection and I have actually mixed media’d that as well!!

Apart from my Annabelle piece and all that fun and messy mixed media I have used scraps from my stash and a digital scrapbook collection designed by Traci Reed Designs called “So Eggcited” which I have printed at home and had my Cameo cut for me! And yes, I will work on getting that tutorial for the Scan and Cut mat happening – this month!!

You can see my process video below, just grab a cuppa (it’s a bit long!), sit back and enjoy!

A bit of a “catch up”…

Hey and hello my scrappy friends!! A big welcome to my blog today for this really quick share!

It seems I have been very quiet which in a way is 100% correct; however; behind the scenes life has been go, go, go!! Which, if I’m telling the truth is really nothing new or unusual for me but what that means is that I often either fall behind on sharing OR don’t really get time to scrap!

What I am sharing today is a couple of non-process videos. The first I shared was my June layout share which you can see in the video below!

And then the other video I have for you is my unboxing of my April and May Elle’s Studio kits. With a bit of an update around what is happening with them!

So, a super quick share for you today but never fear! I have more on the way! I have process videos, Unboxing videos and also layout/project shares for you which I PROMISE, I am slowly working through…..

Do let me know though, leave me a comment, WHAT would you like to see FIRST???

I hope you are managing to sneak in some crafty time in the madness that is now. Whatever your “now” currently looks like.

Until next time, happy scrapping!!
