Felicity from the 50’s

Hi there blog followers!! 2 posts in 1 day – jeepers!!

Just sharing my card creation for my DT spot over at Angie Delarie Products.

I had heaps of fun (again) colouring in monotone – using again the Cool Grey’s. I couldn’t help myself from adding just a little bit of colour to make the image pop so I used B01 and B02 for both her eye’s and the birdie ๐Ÿ™‚
I have teamed the image with some of Heidi Swapp’s older lines (No Limits) which I LOVE!! Inked some edges, did some stitching and and layered Felicity on top with foam dots.

Hope you like it!!

And justย a close up of Felicity

As always, thank you for dropping by, have a great night ๐Ÿ™‚

A scrapbook page!!

Hello there bloggers!!

Today I am sharing a traditional page that I have done to tick a few boxes.

First box – scrap a page from my niece’s year 7 graduation (December 2011)
Second box – Use some of Angie’s new digi stamps (as soon as I saw these I KNEW I was going to tick at least one thing off my very very long to do list!)
Third box – I am entering this into a sketch challenge over at Sassy Scrappers – my 1st ever entry into a scrap challenge so please don’t be too harsh on me!!

First up here is the sketch

And you can buy Angie’s new digi stamps here.

Now onto the page ๐Ÿ˜€

I have used an Amy Tan paper for the background (yellow, chevron, can’t go wrong!!) and some of my pieces of bazzill. I have printed Angie’s images onto Stampin Up Crumb Cake card stock and inked all the edges with distress stain. ย That is a Studio Calico chevron mask I have used and some gorgeous Heidi Swapp mustard colour shine on the back ground also borrowed this technique and coloured the title “grad” with colour shines and a paint brush.

And here is the result

As always, thank you for stopping by, I hope you like what you saw!!

I am here today to share a MASSIVE haul that I have been waiting to receive from The Stamp Spot and it arrived safely in my hands on Tuesday!ย

I just want to share that I paid for express post on this parcel so when I saw that it was “on board with driver” on Tuesday I literally squealed with delight!! To my horror though we had gone out for the morning and as we turned the corner into our street I saw that our delivery driver had just pulled out of our driveway!! Thankfully (I think!!) he recongnised me and stopped and delivered my parcel of yumminess!!

Without further ado, here are a couple of pics of the things I really, really, really, really want to get out and play with but think they will have to wait until I go to a day scrap retreat with Scrap Away in WA at the beginning of May.

Here is the 5kg satchel that my goodies arrived in =)

And everything minus the new paper trimmer I got

And the stuff I’ve really, really, really been hanging out for, Heidi Swapp!!

I have joined in with Heidi’s 8 week adventure in the spiral bound album and will share pics once I have a wee bit more done – only done bits and pieces at this stage but let me tell you, this album is just gorgeous!!

Anyways, thank you as always for stopping by, see you back here soon =)

Heidi Swapp Inspired Memory File

Hello beautiful followers!!

Today I am sharing with you all a memory file I created for a swap I participated in. We had originally agreed to swap a Lapbook (go hereย to have a squiz) but both decided that it was getting too fat for postage (my partner is in the US) without it even being finished!! My wonderful partner, Sandy, suggested we do a memory file inspired by the beautiful Heidi Swapp. I had never heard of, let alone seen, these products and to say that I am now addicted would be an understatement!! Head on over hereย for a quick run down by Heidi herself and over hereย for where I got the idea’s on how to build one for my swap.

I used the Bo Bunny “Camp A Lot” range of papers, stamps and chipboard and got the base file folders from Typo (here in Australia).

I had a heap of fun making this and currently have my pre-order in for Heidi’s beautiful new ranges over at The Stamp Spot.

That is enough of the chit chat so here are the photos:

Here is the cover. I just used one of the journal type blocks from the paper range, then cut the swirly frame and popped that up on some foam squares just to give a little extra lift. I’ve also added a couple of little embellishments on the front and punched a little hole to get a peek inside ๐Ÿ™‚

A close up of the popped up bit of the title card ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the front cover opened up.ย

You can see on the left the photo stack/flip folder thingy I made. I made the file folders using my 3rd baby the cameo and some 6×4 flip pockets that I had here – I even sewed right down the middle of one of the photo pockets to give 2 3×4’s ๐Ÿ™‚
On the right hand side there is another file folder that I have stuck down (and cut with my 3rd baby!) on the back and done a little embellishing using some stickers from the Bo Bunny range and also used the cameo again to cut Heidi’s awesome.

This is the 2nd file folder opened up to reveal yet another file folder which I have stitched into place. I have also folded over the front of the folder to create a little pocket (which was “sealed” shut with my amazing Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher tool) which I popped in a mini book (also cut on the Cameo) that is Very Vanilla cardstock (by Stampin Up!) and a paper from the Bo Bunny range and held together with some yellow and white twine.

And here is the mini album opened up for a better view ๐Ÿ™‚

And the middle file folder opened up.

And the very last “page” with the beautiful “awesome” by Heidi ๐Ÿ™‚

Some embellishing I did using some of the stickers from the range.

And just a close up of this cause it’s just awesome!!

As always, thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared.ย
Thank you again Sandy for the inspiration to make this, I really enjoyed it!!
