Cheeky Little Devil ~ Scrapbook Page

Hi there scrappy friends!! I’m here with you today sharing my take on the fun sketch challenge over at Anna’s Craft Cupboard.

Here is the sketch if you have not yet seen it
And here is my take on the sketch

I have finally cracked open my Pink Fresh Studios Indigo Hills collection and it is just gorgeous!! I have paired it with one of my new favourite colours from Colour Blast – Just Blue. If you love blue and don’t have this colour – you NEED it – all of it! The Shimmer Spray, the Embossing Powder, the Colour Paste and the Colour Shimmer Pot – swoon!!!

Anyways, enough of my swooning and here are a few details of the page!

This photo shows a close up of the title area. I’ve mixed and matched some chippy pieces from Dusty Attic and used both the Just Blue and Dusty Charcoal embossing powders on all the words – doesn’t it look A-MAZING the way the colours mix and blend together?!

With all that work in the background I decided not to go to OTT with embellishments so kept it pretty simple with a few pieces from the ephemera pack and also a Charms Creations grey arrow.

So, another story told, another page in an album and I satisfied my need to get messy 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time, happy scrapping!!

{ScrappingClearly} Love This

Hi there scrappy friends I’m here with you today sharing my latest page for Scrappingclearly. I’m scrapping a photo of myself and hubby from Christmas Day last year using the gorgeous Oh Joy collection by Pink Fresh Studio.

There is a process video too, just click on the play button below and enjoy!

Here is my page and I really love how it turned out. It’s pretty clean and simple for me but I did add a VERY light coat of white gesso behind where my photo and title went to help them pop and sprinkled on some mists 🙂

I used one of the metal dies in my stash and one of the papers in the 6×6 paper pad to create my title.

I pulled lots of bits and pieces from the collection to embellish the page and really love the clean design of this!

Kylie still has this gorgeous collection in store and if you are anything like me, still scrapping away those photo’s from Christmas Past head over and order up before it all disappears – it really is a gorgeous collection!

The products I have used are:

Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – 6×6 Paper Pad
Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – Puffy Stickers
Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – Acrylic Mirror Shapes – LOVE these so much!
Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – Washi Tape
Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – Gold Foiled Phrase Stickers
Pink Fresh – Oh Joy – 12×12 Paper “Merry Christmas”
Colour Blast – Colour Spray – Rainforest
Colour Blast – Colour Spray – Love
Heidi Swapp – Colour Shine – Gold Lame
WRMK – White Typecast Typewriter

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping!!

{ScrappingClearly DT} Tis The Season To Be Silly

Hey there scrappy friends! I hope you are managing to fit in some scrappy time at this busy time of year! I finally found some of my missing mojo and got to play in my craft room this week!

Today I am sharing a page I created using the gorgeous Pink Fresh Studio Oh Joy collection! If you haven’t seen it yet you can see it here in store but I will link to each product for you!!

I have also done a process video for this page and if you click below you can watch 🙂

I chose 2 photo’s of my boys from Christmas morning last year. They are so funny and can be so silly, hence the title of the page. The journalling tells the story and reads as such

“Trying to get a “good” photo of them together is near impossible. Wriggling, giggling little boys!! They mucked around so much I told them to get their silly on – photo #1! When they were done “Look at Mum and smile boys!!” – photo #2. Love both of them. Cheeky boys!”

And here is my completed page!

I used a clear gesso and applied a thin coat over about the middle of the page. I just adore the Under The Tree background stamp so did some embossing on my white card stock background using Colour Blast Bling Embossing Powder.
I then grabbed out some gelato’s in matching colours to the papers – I ended up using 2 blues in the background using the packaging technique – one is called Snow Cone and I’m not sure of the other!

A few splatters using Colour Blast Colour Spray in Lagoon and also some watered down red acrylic paint from my stash and then left that to dry and worked on my layers.

I have used some of the tissue paper my order came wrapped in to back the photos and chose a paper from the 6×6 paper pad to use as part of my title – the “Tis the season” part.

I knew I wanted to cut the word “silly” from the red paper in the 6×6 pad so figured I may as well make some of my own embellishments while at it 😉 I quickly doodled a star on a scrap of paper, photographed and imported into my Silhoutte studio, traced and cut and voila, personalised embellishes!

I love how this turned out!!

It was around this point I realised I had little/no room for journalling so decided to stick the title piece as a pocket – gluing only 3 sides – and cut another piece of 6×6 paper to fit as my journalling tag. I grabbed a little tab thingy from my stash and stamped using the Oh Joy clear stamp set.

I also decided I needed something to ground the layout so chose this Oh Joy “Joyful Christmas” 12×12 paper and a light blue from my stash for a border along the top and bottom.

I finished off with some of my silhoutte cut stars, an acetate die cut piece from the same range and also the house and 2 stars from the mirror acrylic shapes. FYI, those shapes are FRAGILE and also have a clear protective film on them!

My very final touch is some stamping and some splattering of the Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Spray, again in Bling.

I love how this page came together and am so happy to have this memory documented. This range was just PERFECT!!

I plan on tackling one of the challenges next, have you seen them this month?! They are awesome so make sure you play along and enter your take/s for your chance at some awesome prizes!! Also, Kylie has a give away happening at the moment as a Christmas celebration! Up until the 12th December any order over $100.00 goes into the draw to win a WRMK MINT TYPEWRITER!!! So, if you’ve been eyeing these babies off and need/want to order NOW is the time!!!

Have a fab scrappy day and see you soon!

Playing with some Hip Kit products

Hi there and welcome to my blog today!!

I was lucky enough to win a give away over on Instagram by @flisw way back in November or December last year. I won (I think!) most of the November kit and oh my, it is beautiful! Full of some of their exclusive papers and also the gorgeous Pink Fresh Studios range .

I knew I wanted to use this kit for Christmas/December photos from last year and actually printed out some photographs I wanted to use to take on retreat in February but got totally side tracked and didn’t get around to them! I did however make sure to take the kit and the photos on my last retreat in early June and though these were not completed at retreat the basis of both of them came together for me at retreat.

Enough jibber jabber though, here are my 2 pages!

This first one is the one I came up with the idea at retreat 🙂

I always have my photo taken with Santa (I think I missed a year or possibly 2 between the boys) and last year was no exception! I found Santa with 2 elves wandering around Adventure World when we went there as a family last year for my hubby’s work family Christmas party and asked if they minded if I took a selfie 😉

I have used one of the gorgeous exclusive papers for this page and also those exclusive teal coloured puffy alphas by Pink Fresh. I knew I wanted to hand stitch the rest of the title and came up with this:

I have actually used a Heidi Swapp cut file I had cut with my silhouette months ago as my stencil. I taped it down with washi and then pierced holes all around the edge. Then spent an hour or 2 in front of the TV with a needle and thread! Love how it came out in the end!

The Pink Fresh ephemera pack and puffy stickers are just adorable and all those silver glitter pieces are so, so pretty!

Onto the 2nd page

Another of the HKC exclusive papers (so, so gorgeous!!). I didn’t realise until I went to photograph them that I had picked both of the papers with the diagonal stripe but oh, well, these 2 I think were my most fave. I was a little sad to not use the back side of this paper but seriously, how could I resist that star paper? I have also added a little sprinkle of Heidi Swapp gold colour shine 🙂

A little gold thread for some interest and texture with those adorable die cuts, enamel dots and puffy stickers.
Oh, and that “joy” die cut has been popped up on foam 🙂

And these thickers, swoon!! Every person that walked past my desk when I had these out stopped and commented. They are so pretty and shiny and the font is just perfect! Oh, and that mouse!! Total cuteness!

A couple of pretty simple layouts but I love how they both turned out and can’t wait to get stuck into the rest of this kit! Thank you again Felicity!!

That’s it for me for today! I have started working on another process video, I was totally overwhelmed by the positive feedback on my 1st so am pumped to do another!!

Happy scrapping!
