{ScrappingClearly} Love, love, love ~ A Scrapbook Page

Oh my stars!! Can you believe it is already the 27th September?! Where has this last 9 months gone?! I am here today to share my take on the September sketch challenge and I have used the gorgeous My Minds Eye On Trend 2 collection available in store.

Here is a little sneaky at my take on the sketch

And here is the sketch if you have not yet seen it

And here is my page in full!

I really loved the ripped strips on the right hand side so without too much thought I RIPPED 3 strips off 3 papers before I could re-think my decision!! I have used the Elegant, Minted and Graphic 12×12 papers for my strips but my favourite and the HARDEST to rip into was that stunning navy and gold print (Elegant).

I decided to scrap these 5 smaller photos as my birthday story for my 32nd birthday as I knew I had a bigger-ish story to tell to fill the left hand side where all the journalling is on the sketch.

I have used a bunch of the stickers from the MME On Trend 2 sticker sheet including the diamond shaped stickers at the bottom as a banner on the top left hand side.

Those cacti stickers were simply too adorable to not use and with all that journalling and all the pattern on the right hand side I added a title using a combination of the MME sticker sheet and the “Sentiment” thickers.

There is stitching on the sketch all the way around the page and I am still undecided if I want to add any stitching. I am thinking that if I do go back and add it will be on the strips on the right hand side in gold but for now, my page is done, my story is told and I am happy with the end result.

You do still have a few days left of the month to get your entries in for an awesome gift voucher to spend in the store so head over to the FB group here and load your entries up into the correct albums!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

{Scrap The Boys} September Challenge ~ You Is A Pretty Girl Mummy

Hi there and welcome yet again to my blog!

I’m here today sharing my take on the September challenge over at Scrap The Boys. This is my first time actually finding/making the time to play along and it is another story told!

The challenge this month was to scrap a photo of your boy/s WITH you in the photo! I chose this photo of myself with my oldest boy. He is seriously the sweetest little dude (when it suits him!!) and is so thoughtful so when I saw the¬†accompanying quote “Theres this boy who stole my heart and he calls me Mum” I knew this was the photo I wanted to scrap because the story is so sweet!

And here is my page. I used the beautiful Maggie Holmes Bloom range and knew straight away which background paper to use! How could I resist the beautiful blue denim look with those adorable deer when my son was being a “dear” to me?!

And a few close ups

I cut the word “pretty” on my cameo using the Shoreline font and coloured it with some distress ink and love how it came out – the perfect shade of pink for this page!

I have wanted to play along with STB for a long time, especially being the Mum to 2 little boys but always miss the deadline! I hope to be back again VERY soon to play along as I have, shall we say, a “couple” of photo’s of boys doing boy things! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
